River Conon Spring Salmon Fishing Breaks

Salmon Fishing
Although the River Conon beats on offer are all excellent fly waters, in high water conditions many of the spring lies are best covered by spinning, so we would recommend that prospective anglers are prepared to fish both fly or spinner dependent on prevailing water levels. We can provide fly fishing or spinning tackle hire if required.

Prospective anglers will be requested to comply with the River Conon Conservation Policy, and will be required to complete a declaration stating that their tackle and other fishing equipment has not been abroad within the 4 weeks prior to the commencement of fishing, or if so, that it has been cleaned and treated against the Gyrodactylus salaris parasite.

Additional rods may be available - please enquire if this is relevant.

Accommodation
Unless otherwise stated accommodation for these packages is offered at Braemoray, our extremely comfortable holiday accommodation on Novar Estate, Evanton. Braemoray sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms each with its own private bathroom, so there's no need to limit this break to just 2 anglers - bring friends or partners if you wish. The fishings are approximately 13-14 miles drive from Braemoray.

Should you wish to extend your holiday in this beautiful part of the Highlands, we may be able to offer Braemoray for the remainder of the week at additional cost. We would be pleased to advise you of other activities in the area, and may also be able to source additional fishing.

Lower Fairburn Package

This package is a 4 night / 3 day short break comprising salmon fishing for 2 rods for 3 days on Lower Fairburn with guests staying at Braemoray for 4 nights on a self-catered basis.

A Conon Springer               

• 4 nights at Braemoray (Sun 19th April to Wed 22nd April inclusive) / 3 days salmon fishing for 2 rods (Mon to Wed). Total Price £500.

Pricing is inclusive of 4 nights accommodation at Braemoray and 2 x fishing permits for 3 days.

Upper Fairburn Package

This package is a 5 night / 4 day short break comprising salmon fishing for 2 rods for 4 days on Upper Fairburn with guests staying at Braemoray for 5 nights on a self-catered basis.

An Upper Fairburn Springer          

• 5 nights at Braemoray (Sun 26th April to Thurs 30th April inclusive) / 4 days salmon fishing for 2 rods (Mon to Thurs). Total Price £750.

Pricing is inclusive of 5 nights self-catered accommodation at Braemoray and 2 x fishing permits for 4 days. GAIC-qualified salmon fishing instruction can be provided as an option making this break suitable for beginners.

Coul Fishings Packages

For 2009 we have a package on offer for several different spring weeks, comprising a large recently renovated luxury cottage that sleeps up to 12, with the full 4/5 rod Coul Fishings beat on the River Conon. As described above, water levels can be high in April so we would recommend that prospective anglers are prepared for both fly fishing & spinning. For the same reason, we suggest that you limit the number of anglers to 4 as there is less fishing available in high water conditions.
